In 2004 the Capitol Years began recording its first true full-length and full-band album. Renting a house in the small town of Northampton, MA for two weeks, The Capitol Years and Thom Monahan created Let Them Drink. The band succeeded in combining the sincerity, songcraft, and visceral energy of previous releases. Instead of searching the catalog for their favorite Capitol Years incarnation, fans can find it all on one fully formed and instantly classic album. Locked-in harmonies, searing riffs, and even ethereal atmospherics coexist on Let Them Drink.

"The record doesn't want you to just kick back and listen, preferring to taunt you from your chair via head-nodding blues punch-ups and brawling rock'n'roll." PitchforkMedia

Michelle is currently recording her sophomore release with producer Barry Goldberg (Fleetwood Mac, Smashing Pumpkins, Eagles) in Los Angeles. The album is set for a Summer 2006 release.

Stand Fall Repeat was recorded in nine days with Jay Bennett (formerly of Wilco) and Alex Moore at Bennett's Pieholden Suite Sound in Chicago, mixed by Chris Fudurich (Nada Surf) and mastered by Trevor Sadler in Milwaukee. The album's 11 songs feature a warm, melodic, roots-rock style, supported by Michelle's vocal and instrumental background.
