Philadelphia's best-kept secret has managed to compile a catalog of critically lauded records, tour the nation several times over, and gain some high profile fans, but all the while maintaining their underground appeal. And now, The Capitol Years, with Burn and Shiver Records, are set to release Let Them Drink, the band's finest effort, and an album certain to please fans and critics alike. As many had hoped, the band succeeded in combining the sincerity, songcraft, and visceral energy of pervious releases. Instead of searching the catalog for their favorite Capitol Years incarnation, fans can find it all on one fully formed and instantly classic album. Byrds-like harmonies, Stooges riffs, and even ethereal Coldplay atmospherics coexist on Let Them Drink, the band's finest work yet.

The record--Jay Bennett co-produced--and mixed by Chris Fudurich (Nada Surf's LET GO).
